Silon-TEX® isn’t simply another silicone gel, elastomer sheet, or pad; it is silicone-impregnated fabric and therefore offers many advantages over traditional silicone products.

Pockets & Linings

Silon-TEX® proves highly effective when integrated into Custom Pressure Garments, especially for addressing challenging areas of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation. This vest features a Silon-TEX® patch sewn into the upper back and includes a Silon-TEX® pocket on the upper right front, serving as both a pocket and a pad.

Let us know where your patient needs Silon-TEX®, and we can incorporate it into the garment in any configuration you envision. Chin inserts and cranial patches sewn into this open-face mask are easily achievable.

Custom Design

Custom means the way you want it. We can make whole pressure garments or portions of garments out of Silon-TEX®.

To prevent contractures and potential loss of range of motion, the doctor prescribed a Silon-TEX® insert for a US Compression Glove. To ensure the patient receives maximum benefit from the silicone fabric surface while optimizing fit and comfort, we designed the glove with Silon-TEX® for the two injured digits, while the rest of the glove is constructed with standard Nylon Spandex.

Silon-TEX® Technology

Silon-IPN® uniquely combines the properties of silicone and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, commonly known as Teflon). Over time, various silicone formulations have been created for diverse commercial uses. While some materials prioritize high strength and stiffness, others emphasize softness and compliance. Until now, no single formulation offered both qualities. Silon technology achieves this by blending silicone and PTFE into interwoven, mutually penetrating matrices. The PTFE provides internal reinforcement, enabling ultra-thin sheets of soft silicone with dramatically improved physical strength.
